A recent assignment involved the urgent sale of a niche UK manufacturing business to a USA buyer. We received a call from the Managing Director of a pharmaceutical engineering business who wanted to sell. We advised against an immediate sale. Instead we worked with the client to; improve cost control, improve the margin mix and to drive sales of added value services before later putting the business on the market. The business was later sold by Sheard European Management Consultants Limited to an international strategic buyer.
